Invited to participate in the exhibition, CKS officially signed a framework cooperation agreement on March 27 with its Macao partner to jointly establish CKS Macao. The move further strengthens its presence in the Macao and Greater Bay Area (GBA) waterproofing market. Through green waterproofing technologies, the company will extend its reach to Portuguese-speaking countries and Southeast Asia, contributing CKS’s expertise to the development of the Beautiful China Pioneer Zone in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

As one of China’s leading waterproofing companies, CKS set up a dedicated booth at the exhibition to present its experience from landmark waterproofing and building renovation projects in Macao over the years. It also highlighted a range of new green waterproofing systems tailored to the needs of Macao and overseas markets. Combining low-carbon and environmentally friendly features with durability, efficiency, and ease of application, these systems closely echoed the exhibition’s “low-carbon and zero-waste” theme and aligned with Macao’s plans for green transformation and low-carbon urban development. The booth attracted many visitors, buyers, and industry experts from home and abroad, showcasing CKS’s integrated strengths in waterproofing R&D and project delivery.

During the exhibition, Mr. Chen Weizhong, Chairman of CKS, and Mr. Wang Zongsheng, Founder of Talis (Macao) Co., Ltd., jointly signed the framework cooperation agreement, marking the official launch of in-depth cooperation between the two sides. Under the agreement, the two parties will combine CKS’s strengths in brand, products, technology R&D, and supply assurance with Talis’s channel resources, operational experience, and construction service capabilities in the Macao and GBA engineering markets. By jointly establishing CKS Macao, they aim to build an integrated cooperation model covering products, technology, services, and channels.

At the invitation of the organizers, Mr. Chen Weizhong, Chairman of CKS, was interviewed by the official media of MIECF. Addressing topics including “What suggestions do you have for this year’s exhibition to further expand business opportunities?”, he discussed the upgrading of green building waterproofing in the Greater Bay Area and CKS’s international expansion strategy. MIECF is an important exchange platform for the environmental protection industry in the Greater Bay Area, and a key window through which Macao leverages the strengths of its “One Centre, One Platform, One Base” positioning to advance international green cooperation. CKS’s appearance at the exhibition and the conclusion of this important cooperation agreement represent both an active response to China’s dual-carbon goals and a concrete effort to implement the Action Plan for Building the Beautiful China Pioneer Zone in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The head of CKS’s Hong Kong and Macao operations said that, as an important bridge linking the Greater Bay Area with Portuguese-speaking countries and Southeast Asia, Macao enjoys unique locational and resource advantages. This cooperation represents a key step in CKS’s overseas market expansion and in deepening industrial collaboration within the Greater Bay Area.

This strategic cooperation not only lays a solid foundation for CKS’s global expansion, but will also support the green transformation and upgrading of Macao’s waterproofing industry and promote coordinated development of the waterproofing sector across the Greater Bay Area, creating complementary advantages and mutual benefit for both sides.

In doing so, they aim to bring Chinese waterproofing brands to a broader international stage and contribute CKS’s solutions to the development of green and low-carbon cities worldwide.
