CKS Red Oxide Primer is based on Anti Corrosive Iron Oxide pigment in an alkyd medium. It is an economical, anti-corrosive solvent based metal primer for interior and exterior use. It can also be applied on weathered and pre-treated Aluminium, Zinc and Galvanised Iron.

1. New Metal Surfaces
Requirements:Must be dry, free from grease/dirt

Steel: Remove mill scale/rust via sanding/wire-brushing (Best practice: Meet BS 7079 Pt.1 ST3 standard)

Galvanized/Aluminum: Clean, degrease, apply etch primer

2. Previously Painted Surfaces
Preparation:Remove loose/defective paint

For rusted areas: Sand feather-edged, spot-prime with red oxide or zinc chromate primer
